Students and postgraduates of the Department of Ecology and Geography of the Faculty of Chemical, Biological, and Geographical Sciences of the Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov took part in the International Competition of Student Scientific Societies of universities that are part of the consortium "Russian-Belarusian University Union 'TOGETHER'," presenting the work and achievements of the Student Scientific Research Laboratory "Urban Ecology."

Our students took 3rd place in the nomination "Best student scientific society in a specific field of knowledge," passing the qualifying (remote) round and the face-to-face round (using distance technologies).

Congratulations to the winners who worthily represented the Department of Ecology and Geography, the faculty, and the university at the competition. The best models of organizing activities and projects of student organizations from universities in the consortium were considered and selected as part of the competition. The event was organized to search, select, and replicate successful approaches and examples of activities of student scientific societies in higher educational institutions of the Russian-Belarusian border area, as well as to create a communication platform for young researchers from universities in Russia and Belarus.
