The delegation of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, including the rector Valentina Vasilievna Bogatyreva, the first vice-rector Andrey Pavlovich Mekhovich, the dean of the Faculty of Foreign Citizens Education Valeriy Vatslavovich Yanch, and the head of the International Relations Department Yuliya Shamilievna Salahova, attended a solemn reception on the occasion of the significant date - the 74th anniversary of the formation of the People's Republic of China.

The event in Minsk was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus, Xie Xiaoyong, who noted: 'The number of students coming to study in each other's countries continues to grow, and the teaching of the Chinese language in Belarus is actively developing. Cooperation in the fields of education, science and technology, culture, healthcare, and other areas continues to bear fruit, promoting mutual understanding and closer ties between the two nations.'

The university rector presented the head of the diplomatic mission of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus with a handmade commemorative souvenir - a traditional Belarusian doll.
