The Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology is the only structural division among universities in the Vitebsk region dedicated to training practicing psychologists, social work specialists, and social pedagogues. Studying at our faculty not only provides students with a high level of professional knowledge but also develops personal qualities such as altruism, kindness, compassion, empathy, and the ability to always help anyone in difficult life situations.

Our faculty today – 2 Departments, 11 PhD, 1 Doctor of Sciences and more than 500 students.

Today, full-time education is provided in the following specialties:

• Psychology. Qualification: Psychologist. Psychology teacher.
• Socio-pedagogical and psychological education. Qualification: Social pedagogue. Educational psychologist.

Part-time form of education is provided in the following specialties:

• Social work (socio-psychological activity). Qualification: Specialist in social work- psychologist.
• Socio-pedagogical and psychological education. Qualification: Social pedagogue. Educational psychologist.
• Social work and counseling. Qualification: Specialist in social work.

Students of our faculty have practice in educational institutions (schools, colleges, universities, institutions of additional education), social service institutions, as well as in organizations and enterprises where positions of psychologists have been introduced, rates of psychologists, specialists in social work, social pedagogues are provided.

Part-time form of education

At the Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology part-time form of education in 2025-2026 academic year is carried out in the following specialties:

1-86 01 01-02 «Social work (socio-psychological activity)», 5 years of studying (95 students);

6-05-0921-01 «Social work and counseling», 5 years of studying (39 students);

6-05-0114-01 «Socio-pedagogical and psychological education», 5 years of studying (39 students).

Students acquire professional competencies during lectures, seminars, and laboratory classes, as well as during educational and practical training.

Practice bases are state educational institutions «Secondary Schools No. 4, 6, 11, 17, 28, 43, 46, 45, 40, 29, 3, 7, 18, 19, 23, 25, 30, 31, 33, 34, 46», «Gymnasiums No. 7, 8, 9», and other schools of Vitebsk region. Students have practical training in state educational institutions such as Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University, Vitebsk State Technological University, Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, Vitebsk State Vocational and Technical College of Mechanical Engineering named after Shmyrev, Vitebsk State Polytechnic College, Vitebsk State College of Culture and Arts, state educational institutions "Mazolovskaya Secondary School of the Vitebsk District", "Novkinskaya Secondary School of the Vitebsk District", "Socio-Pedagogical Center of Vitebsk",  State Institution "Territorial Center of Social Services for the Population of the Pervomaisky District of Vitebsk", State Institution "Territorial Center of Social Services for the Population of the Zheleznodorozhny District of Vitebsk", State Institution "Territorial Center of Social Services for the Population of the Oktyabrsky District of Vitebsk", Territorial Center of Social Services for the Population of the Vitebsk District", in other social service institutions of the Vitebsk region.
