Manimaran Vethurshika (Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka): I am studying at the Preparatory Department of the Faculty of Foreign Citizens Training with a major in biology. I am not only studying Russian, but also studying biology and chemistry in English. This is important to me because I intend to study medicine in the future. I like studying at the University because there are many foreign students here and I have an opportunity to get to know a wide variety of cultures, customs and traditions. I feel like a member of a big friendly international family. |

Diomkina Arina (Russian Federation) I have been studying at the Faculty of Art and Graphics of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov for the second year now. At first, studying seemed difficult and complicated to me, but with every month and semester, all the new knowledge that our teachers impart to us is stored in my head. Thanks to VSU named after P.M. Masherov for the opportunity to master all the subtleties of design and constantly improve skills. Design is a rather tricky specialty that does not have clear boundaries, but is very interesting. I would like to thank the dean’s office of the Faculty of Education of Foreign Citizens for the fact that they have very responsive people who will help with solving any questions and difficulties that arise. After all, be that as it may, it is difficult to adapt to another country. And it’s important to know that you can ask for help! |

Lyu Czyuncze Time flies, and I have already completed my bachelor’s degree at Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov. This is the end point and the new starting point. VSU has a strong teaching staff, a large number of highly qualified and experienced professors and lecturers. They focus on academic research and provide students with the best learning resources and development opportunities. The university curriculum is very thoughtful. Various courses are designed according to the interests and needs of the students so that the professional knowledge and abilities of the students are greatly improved. The University also pays great attention to the development of students' practical abilities, and therefore a large number of practical training activities are organized covering a wide range of areas. Finally, the campus culture is very rich, and internationalization and diversification are obvious trends. The university not only conducted various cultural events and competitions, but also a large number of international exchange projects to actively promote internationalization and create more opportunities for cross-border student exchange. It was a great honor for me to have the opportunity to study at Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov. |

Liu Jialong Even when I was in China, I looked at the websites of Belarusian establishments of higher education, and most of all attracted the attention of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov. I came to Vitebsk and realized that I had made the right choice. All my expectations coincided with reality. My specialty is “Physical Education and Sports” in the English-language master’s program. I am grateful to the teachers of our university not only for their professionalism, but also for the way they treat students and how they involve them in active extracurricular activities. During my studies at VSU named after. P.M. Masherov, I was able to realize my creative potential in numerous competitions and festivals, including winning the title “Mister VSU-2023”. I am sure that international students should take part in such events. This is a great opportunity not only to find new friends, but also to exchange cultural experiences: to get to know Belarusian students better, in turn, by telling them about our country. |
