On October 2, Kevin Reiling, Regional Director for American Councils for International Education, had the opportunity to conduct a pre-departure orientation for 12 students from Vitebsk State University (VSU) who will be departing for the U.S. at the end of the month.
At the end of last week workshops of the famous Riga-based artist Ance Gritsmane were held at the “Sacred Abstraction” project at the Art faculty of our university. The participants were teachers, undergraduates and students of Art faculty.
VSU named after P.M. Masherov opened a Centre for French Language and Culture. The ceremonial opening was attended by the representatives of the Embassy of the French Republic in the Republic of Belarus.
On April 11, the regional competition of grace and artistic skill « The Queen of Spring» was held. Nine participants competed for the title and the opportunity to represent Vitebsk Region at the national level.
A year ago the American Council for International Education and VSU signed a cooperation agreement. Now its positive effects become apparent. During the meeting the representatives of the USA and Alexei Egorov, Reactor of the University, discussed further pros of cooperation.
On April 8-9, as part of the European Commission's Erasmus + program, a delegation consisting of Duncan Bans (Milton Keynes, United Kingdom) and Elena Volkova (Rezekne, Latvia) visited the university to discuss further areas of international cooperation.
On March 13 Chinese and Belarusian students who have attained excellence in study, research and outclass activities, had a meeting with I. Karpenko, the Minister of Education in the Republic of Belarus. The meeting was held in the National Library of Belarus.
A delegation from Turkmenistan headed by Nazarkyl Shakuliyev, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the RB, have visited VSU. Their main purpose of the visit was to have a meeting with Turkmen students who study at the university in Vitebsk.
