Specially for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders, the P.M. Masherov Vitebsk State University has prepared a patriotic project together with the Pskov State University and the N.P. Ogaryov Mordovian State University.

As a sign of eternal memory and respect for the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, students of the three universities performed the song ‘Flowers of the Great Victory’.

The natives of the Pskov region and the Republic of Mordovia took a direct part in the Belarusian strategic offensive operation ‘Bagration’ and received appropriate state awards and titles. By joint efforts the Soviet people, fighting shoulder to shoulder against the enemy, managed to bring closer the Great Victory, which forever united the peoples of the victorious countries of this terrible war. Today it is our common victory, our common holiday and our common memory.
