Students from Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov participated in the IV Russian-Belarusian Student Media Forum «Media Industry», which was held at Pskov State University from September 28 to October 2.

The participants visited the city of Pskov, met new people, engaged in joint project development alongside students from other higher education institutions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, and gained valuable experience.

Students shared their personal opinions about participating in the forum:

Nikita Samtsov, third-year student at the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology: «The trip to Pskov was memorable for me not only because of the abundance of excursions, lectures, and master classes, but also because my team took first place and earned a trip to the 2027 Summer School of Journalism in Moscow. A wealth of connections, ideas, and materials were made–all packed into an unforgettable four-day trip. I'm very glad that my university's leadership sent me to this fascinating forum».

Nikita Pertsov, a third-year student at the Faculty of Humanities and Communications: «This forum was a unique opportunity for me to meet media professionals from across the Union State and participate in joint projects. At lectures by renowned TV presenters, bloggers, and directors, I learned a lot about building a personal brand, public speaking, and reporting style. I was particularly impressed by the excursions around Pskov and the surrounding towns. We visited numerous medieval fortresses where battles took place and immersed ourselves in the history of that time. I was also surprised by how picturesque the Pskov region is. We seized the opportunity to take many beautiful photographs on the hilltops and elevations offering stunning views. I will remember this trip for a long time, and I will actively use the skills I learned in my journalism».

Kira Avlasenko, a third-year student at the Faculty of Humanities and Communications: «The Media Industry Forum was a great opportunity for me to try something new. Every day was filled with engaging lectures from industry professionals. Of course, we not only acquired new skills and developed projects, but also went on excursions to the ancient fortresses of Pskov and the picturesque sites of Izborsk.

But the most important thing is, of course, the people! This forum gave me a lot of new connections, including among Russians. I think the Media Industry has become an excellent platform for students from our sister cities to connect».
