On the 16th of November the Ambassador of India in the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Saxena Pankaj, visited the Faculty of Maths and Computer Science.
In 2010 the Belarusian-Indian training center in the field of information and communicative technologies was established at the faculty. The Indian partners provided the center with multimedia equipment that allowed students to participate in online seminars. The seminars were organized by the administration of the Hi-Tech Park in Minsk. The students are able to take part in international videoconferences now thanks to the equipment installed. The students of the university got an opportunity to attend the lectures of well-known university teachers and leading IT specialists from all over the world.
Mr. Saxena Pankaj was interested in the work of the joint Belarusian-Indian training center, he donated paintings, posters and books and signed one of the paintings. The Ambassador arrived with his interpreter but the teachers of the Faculty of Maths and Computer Science impressed him with their command of English so they were able to cooperate without the interpreter.
