On December 12, 2018 V International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students, Undergraduates and Young Scientists «Youth of the XXI Century: Education, Science, Innovation» was held at the VSU named after P. M. Masherov.

The findings presented by researchers at the conference were included in the collection of reports which was published after careful review. The collection included 127 theses.

During the event, a cooperation agreement was signed between the VSU named after P.М. Masherov (the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports) and Educational Institution «Smolensk State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism». Shkiryanov Denis Eduardovich, the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Anastasia Vladimirovna Byshevskaya, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, Head of the International Relations Department of the State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, participated in the signing of the contract.

The event was held to strengthen cooperation between establishments of higher education and improve research culture of young scientists. Students, undergraduates, postgraduate students have the opportunity to exchange scientific experience and presenting the results of their research in English.
