On January 30 President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko agreed on the appointment of Valentina Bogatyreva for a position of rector. Valentina Bogatyreva is Doctor of Economic Sciences and Full Professor. The personnel issue was considered at Independence Palace in Minsk.

“I’m not going to advise you anything. You’re an educated person and you know my attitude towards scientists. I extremely respect our scientists, - the President claimed. – You have a good university. If you have any controversial questions which are in my capacity, let me know and we’ll do our best. Though, the whole country is engaged in Vitebsk region in order to solve those urgent issues, that have been appearing for ages”, – BelTA informs.

VSU team congratulates Valentina Bogatyreva on her appointment to a position of rector and wishes achievements, ideas, wise and forward-looking decisions, that will help to fulfil tasks and execute plans for the good of our university!
