On February 17, in the assembly hall of our university, a screening with a discussion of the film "Officers" (dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of soldiers-Internationalists) was held. At the beginning of the event, the rector of the VSU named after P.M Masherov, PhD in Economics, Professor Valentina Bogatyreva addressed the audience:

- February 15 is a special day for each of us. Our university employs people who show by their personal example what it means to love and protect your country, to help a friend in a difficult moment, to appreciate your family in a difficult life situation. It is with great pleasure that I would like, on behalf of our team and students, to welcome here our highly respected employees, internationalist warriors: Tatiana Fedorovna Dmitrieva, senior lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, as well as masters of industrial training of the Military Department Sergey Arkadyevich Mashero and Sergey Evgenyevich Slimakov. These people have a lot to tell us.

Then the words of gratitude and appreciation to those who performed their international duty in Afghanistan were expressed by the students present in the hall, as well as representatives of the military department of VSU. In turn, T.F. Dmitrieva, S.A. Mashero and S.E. Slimakov shared their memories of the wartime, told how difficult it was.

At the end of watching the film, Valentina Vasilyevna talked with the students, discussed with them the generally accepted values shown in the film "Officers".
