On April 7, Gomel State University named after P.O. Sukhoi hosted the Festival of youth and talents for the seventh time – an open interuniversity creative Friendship festival among foreign students of Belarus. The biggest cultural forum was attended by foreign students from 8 universities of the country (GSTU named after P.O. Sukhoi, GSU named after F. Skorina, BelSUT, GSMU, BTEU CC, Belarusian-Russian University, BSSA, VSU named after P.M. Masherov), representing 10 countries of the world (Republic of Guinea, Democratic Republic of the Congo, People's Republic of China, Republic of Uzbekistan, Republic of Turkmenistan, Republic of India, Republic of Cameroon, Kingdom of Morocco, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka).

The jury evaluated the talents of students in several categories: vocal, vocal-instrumental and instrumental creativity, choreographic and theatrical art.

Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov was represented at the Festival by students from the People's Republic of China under the guidance of senior lecturer of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language T.S. Denisenko and Associate Professor of the Department of Music, PhD in Art History O.M. Zhukova.

Having demonstrated bright creative performances, foreign students of VSU showed a high level of skill, which earned them a victory in several nominations at once:

The team of students of VSU named after P.M. Masherov from People's Republic of China is the winner in the nomination "Vocal and choreographic composition";

Guo Mengyao is the winner in the nomination "Vocal creativity. Solo";

Zhang Hongwei and Chen Hanhua is the winner in the nomination "For the best choreographic composition".
