The working week at Vitebsk State University (VSU) began with a visit from Ahmed Reymov, the Rector of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, and a Doctor of Technical Sciences. Ahmed Mambetkarimovich met with the Rector of our university, Valentina Bogatyreva, Doctor of Economic Sciences, professor and also delivered a lecture to students of the Faculty of Chemical-Biological and Geographical Sciences.

Two years ago, VSU named after P.M. Masherov and Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh signed a cooperation agreement, within which a joint educational program is being implemented.

"Our students want to study in Belarus, and thanks to the fact that we have similar programs, they have this opportunity," noted Ahmed Reymov. "For the past two years, these students have been receiving education from us, and now they have come to your republic. If everything goes well, in a couple of years, we will award them dual diplomas."

As Valery Yanch, the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Citizens' Education at Vitebsk State University (VSU), a candidate of philosophical sciences and associate professor, explained, 16 students from Karakalpakstan have come to continue their education at VSU in the field of "Software for Information Technologies." These students have been accommodated in Dormitory No. 4 and have already started attending classes while enthusiastically participating in the university's sports club.

During Ahmed Mambetkarimovich's visit, he familiarized himself with the living conditions of the students from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, met with students and professors from the Faculty of Chemical-Biological and Geographical Sciences at VSU. The Rector of Karakalpak State University shared information about the republic he hails from and the higher education institution he leads, highlighting that their university is a rapidly developing major educational and scientific center with over 20,000 students. Following this, Ahmed Reymov delivered a presentation titled "The Current State and Prospects of Mineral Fertilizer Production in Uzbekistan."

At the end of the meeting, present teachers and students had the opportunity to ask the guest questions of interest. Faculty members inquired about valuable minerals in the Asian republic, scientific research in the field of geography at Karakalpak State University, while students asked about the possibility of internships in Uzbekistan, among other topics. Ahmed Mambetkarimovich enjoyed visiting the Faculty of Chemical-Biological and Geographical Sciences, where he visited the Chemistry Department, assessed the laboratory's equipment, was impressed by the capabilities of virtual reality, and engaged in informal discussions with colleagues and professors.

The visit of Rector Ahmed Reymov to VSU concluded with a solemn ceremony during which he was awarded the title of honorary professor of our university for his contribution to the preparation of highly qualified specialists, active involvement in scientific and educational activities, and support in enhancing the international prestige of VSU named after P.M. Masherov. The mantle was presented to Ahmed Mambetkarimovich by the Rector of VSU, Valentina Bogatyreva.
