Valentina Bogatyryova, Rector of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. The host of the program is Anatoly Torkunov - Rector of MGIMO of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, member of the Presidential Council on Science, Technology and Education.

Not so long ago, just in the 19th century, women were forbidden to receive higher education. And certainly not to be in charge of higher education institutions or to have a ministerial portfolio. But fortunately all that changed in the 20th century. Although, it must be admitted that there are fewer women rectors and women scientists than men. About the role of women in science and education will be discussed in the new issue of the program.
