From May 16th to 18th, the II Russian-Belarusian Student Media Forum "Media Industry" was held at Pskov State University. A delegation from Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov, consisting of Media Communications Department Specialist Alexander Gergaev, Law Faculty student Anna Ganich, Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies student Dmitry Shkirando, and Faculty of Humanities and Language Communication student Milana Zakharova, actively participated in the forum's events.
During the three days, students worked on creating team media projects aimed at preserving the common historical and cultural heritage of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
The first day featured the grand opening, educational lectures, and master classes with media experts, followed by a guided tour of the Pskov Kremlin.
—For me, the forum was a platform of creativity, inspiration, new acquaintances, and unforgettable experiences over three days. Everything was meticulously planned, with every minute scheduled, and it felt like we were caught in a whirlwind, where speeches by speakers, training sessions, team work, and excursions alternated endlessly. The forum allowed us not only to immerse ourselves fully in the topic of interest, ask questions to experts, gain invaluable experience, and meet incredible people from different cities, but also to better understand ourselves and determine the direction of our development. I would like to express my immense gratitude to the organizers and my university for the opportunity to participate in such a grand event. Now is the time to reflect on the scale of everything that happened, but one thing is for sure: warm memories and new skills will definitely stay with me forever. - shared participant of the II Russian-Belarusian Student Media Forum "Media Industry," student of the Faculty of Humanities and Language Communication, Milana Zakharova.
On the second day, during the strategic session "Information Interaction between Russian and Belarusian Universities: Best Practices," Media Communications Department Specialist Alexander Gergaev presented the experience of the VSU Media Center in the university's information space and joint media projects implemented with Pskov State University.
—The "Media Industry" is a unique opportunity to meet colleagues from completely different regions of Belarus and Russia, exchange accumulated experience, and develop joint plans for media work. Thanks to the management of information policy and public relations of Pskov State University with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, being at the forum is a pleasure, - noted Alexander Gergaev, specialist of the Media Communications Department, participant of the "Media Industry."
The final day was also rich in events, not only educational ones. The participants visited the Pushkin Mountains complex, where the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin worked 200 years ago.
In the evening, the participants awaited the long-awaited defense of the created media projects and the solemn closing ceremony of the Forum with the awarding of the winners. Dmitry Shkirando, a student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies, as part of a team, became the holder of the third-degree diploma for the project "Union Style" (about popularizing the Union State in souvenir products).
—The "Media Industry" Forum is an event that immersed you in an atmosphere of professionalism, creativity, and innovation from the very first seconds. And it will undoubtedly stay in memory for years to come! A huge number of professionals and experts allow you to significantly improve various skills and gain invaluable experience.
