On May 24th, a Joint Session of the Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia on Industry and Trade and the Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly on Agricultural Issues took place at the Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, where they discussed the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Union State.

The joint session was attended by representatives of the Permanent Committee of the Union State, government authorities, ministries of industry and agriculture of Belarus and Russia, as well as leaders of enterprises and organizations from both countries.

The participants of the meeting were welcomed by the rector of the university, Doctor of Economics, Professor Valentina Bogatyreva.
