From 8 to 23 July, Denis Kitarov and Anastasia Borisova, students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies of the P.M. Masherov All-Russian State University, took part in the International Project ‘Summer University’ in Kazan (Russian Federation). This was possible thanks to the successful completion of the selection round, during which only 300 participants from 13 countries were selected out of 3000 applications.
The Summer University in Kazan gathered about 400 participants, and VSU students became a part of this international event. The programme of the event was rich and included not only educational but also cultural part.
Thus, within the framework of the training programme on the discipline ‘Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology: Promt-engineering’ the participants studied modern methods and tools used in the field of artificial intelligence, sharpened their skills in query writing, learned about how neural networks can be used for writing scientific articles, natural language processing, data analysis and solving various problems.
The cultural programme was also very rich. The participants visited the Kazan Kremlin, Sviyazhsk Island and Innopolis University. They took part in the presentation of the Global Village countries, where they presented the Republic of Belarus, as well as learnt about the culture and history of other participating countries. VSU students took part in the Sabantui holiday, the festival of Indonesian culture, and actively attended cultural and sporting events: mini-football, volleyball, yoga and morning exercises.
In addition, the Summer University participants learnt a lot about the host Kazan Federal University: its history, traditions and areas of work.
The students of FMiIT showed high results, becoming winners in the international project ‘Summer University’ in the track ‘Artificial Intelligence and Information Technologies: Promt-engineering’ and were among the top 7 best projects of the Summer University.
We express our gratitude to the organisers of the Summer University programme at KFU for the comfortable stay of students, interesting lectures, cultural events and attentive attitude. The participants also noted the value of communication with colleagues from different countries and exchange of experience and knowledge.
‘Summer University’ in Kazan was a unique opportunity not only to expand their knowledge, but also to enrich themselves with cultural experience, make new acquaintances and present their university at the international level.
For VSU students, the ‘Summer University’ project became a unique experience of true immersion in the world of science, technology and creativity. This journey left vivid impressions, enriched knowledge and became a source of inspiration for future achievements in various fields.
