16-18 October Pskov State University is holding the International Scientific and Educational Forum ‘Post-Soviet Space in Historical Retrospect: Integration and Disintegration Processes’.

The large-scale event is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus ‘On the Establishment of the Union State’.

Acting as a partner, P.M. Masherov Vitebsk State University also takes part in the forum in the following composition:

• Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Belarusian and Russian Philology, member of the Union of Writers of Belarus, member of the Union of Writers of Russia Elena Vladimirovna Kriklivets;
• Candidate of Cultural Studies, Associate Professor of the Department of History and Cultural Heritage Ekaterina Gennadyevna Plytnik;
• Anna Igorevna Bumazhenko, senior lecturer of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education, postgraduate student, member of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Chairperson of the Council of Young Scientists of P.M. Masherov All-Union State University named after P.M. Masherov;

Valentina Bogatyryova, Rector of the P.M. Masherov Vitebsk State University welcomed the participants of the forum in the format of a video message. According to Valentina Vasilyevna, in the conditions of the current reality the declared theme is more relevant than ever.

- Reality shows us how important it is to talk about historical truth, how important it is to make serious decisions on its preservation, - explained the rector of VSU. - Just a few days ago the summit of the CIS countries took place. Our countries - the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation - are important states, members of this integration structure. As a result of this most important historically significant meeting, the heads of state addressed to preserve the historical memory, to preserve the greatness of the Great Victory.

Konstantin Ilyich Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, addressed the Forum participants with a welcoming speech, noting the role of reliable partners: ‘Special thanks to our partners - P.M.
