On 16-18 October Valentina Bogatyryova, Rector of P.M. Masherov VSU, takes part in the Forum of Rectors of Universities of Russia, Brazil and Belarus and the Forum of Rectors of Universities of BRICS countries to strengthen inter-university cooperation.

On 16 October Valentina Bogatyryova delivered a report on ‘The Place of the Regional University on the BRICS Cooperation Platform’ at the plenary session of the Forum of University Rectors of Russia, Brazil and Belarus, which was held at the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The official part of the event included the signing of the Agreement on Cooperation in the field of educational, scientific, social and cultural activities with the Southern Federal University to develop and strengthen international cooperation in science and education.

Participation in the Forum events contributes to the expansion of international cooperation of our university by establishing new contacts with representatives of higher education institutions of the Russian Federation and BRICS countries; attracting citizens of the Russian Federation and BRICS countries to study at Vitebsk State University; intensification of cooperation in the field of organisation of joint scientific and educational projects, introduction of new technologies and scientific developments within the framework of cooperation of P.M. Masherov VSU with educational institutions of the Russian Federation and BRICS countries.

On October 17-18 the Rector of the University Valentina Bogatyryova will hold negotiations with the leadership of educational institutions of the Russian Federation and BRICS countries during which it is planned to discuss the interim results of the implementation of cooperation programmes with partner institutions of higher education and the establishment of new contacts with universities of BRICS countries (Russian Federation, Brazil, South Africa, UAE, Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia).
