From May 13 to 17, students from the Faculty of Humanities, Knowledge and Communications and the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies at P.M. Masherov VSU took part in the III Russian-Belarusian Student Media Forum "Media Industry" at the premises of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Pskov State University" (Pskov, Russian Federation). Five students from the university participated in the forum.

The forum aimed to establish strong cooperative ties between students of Russian and Belarusian higher education institutions who are realizing their potential in the fields of journalism and media communications.

As part of the forum, a student project competition titled "80 Years of the Great Victory" was held, aiming to engage young people in creating and disseminating materials focused on preserving historical memory.

"I was fortunate to participate in the 'Media Industry' forum, which took place in the picturesque and hospitable city of Pskov," shares Alexander Rudenkov, a 2nd-year student at the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology. "The forum brought together many creative, talented, and proactive people from CIS countries. We discussed current trends in the media space, shared experiences, and, most importantly, built a lively and active community. I left inspired, full of ideas, and with new contacts that will certainly become the starting point for future projects. Thank you to the forum organizers and all participants for this opportunity!"

"I am grateful for the opportunity to attend the forum, as it became one of the best experiences for me," noted Ekaterina Zaitseva, a 1st-year student at the Faculty of Humanities, Knowledge and Communications. "The forum created a media space where everyone could express themselves: talented videographers, photographers, editors, and journalists gathered at Pskov State University. My team included students from Mordovia, Kuzbass, Chelyabinsk, as well as from Belarusian State University (BSU) and Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU). The experience of communicating and interacting with them was very interesting: we shared cultural specifics, exchanged knowledge, and created a joint project. The forum consisted of a series of lectures from media industry professionals, with the leading topics being the use of artificial intelligence and the preservation of historical memory. 'A Shared Heroic Past – A Common Future' – that was the main theme for creating media projects, videos, and prepared publications. More than 100 participants, renowned speakers, excursions to picturesque places in Pskov, new acquaintances, motivation, and inspiration for development in the media industry – this is what the forum left us with."

Veronika Karaseva, a 1st-year student at the Faculty of Humanities, Knowledge and Communications:

"The'Media Industry' forum, held in the historic city of Pskov, became something special for me. This event was not just a gathering, but a true immersion into the world of the media industry, which opened new horizons and opportunities for me. The forum's theme, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, created a special atmosphere. Speakers shared not only knowledge but also stories that strengthened the connection between generations. We were able to gain a deeper understanding of the shared past of Russia and Belarus, which became an important step in creating our team project. Furthermore, experts at the forum shared their knowledge about modern technologies, such as the internet and neural networks, showing how they influence our lives and work, which is highly relevant for the current generation. This forum gathered incredibly talented and active people. Everyone was able to demonstrate their ideas and skills. Many of us discovered new talents and realized we are capable of more than we previously thought. This atmosphere of creativity and unity inspired new ideas and joint endeavors. The forum left warm memories in my heart and a desire to return to this amazing place. I want to express my sincere gratitude to my university for providing this opportunity. Also, immense thanks to all the organizers and participants, thanks to whom this event became so memorable. I am sure that the experience gained here will be a stepping stone for further successes."

Following the competition, the jury selected the top three teams. This included the team "Soyuz v Kadre" (Union in the Frame), featuring Ekaterina Zaitseva, a student from the Faculty of Humanities, Knowledge and Communications at P.M. Masherov VSU and a participant of the Vitebsk Region Media Laboratory.
