The results of the International Video Essay Competition on War Literature "Read! Watch! Remember!" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory have been summarized. The competition ran from March 3 to May 1 as part of the cooperation between universities of the "Russian-Belarusian University Union 'Together'" Consortium. The organizers were the libraries of the Belarusian-Russian University and Pskov State University.
24 video entries were submitted to the library of the Belarusian-Russian University. Participants included students and staff from 8 member universities of the Consortium. On May 7, an online meeting between the Belarusian-Russian University and Pskov State University was held to summarize the competition results. Based on the jury's evaluation, 9 winners were determined:
- P.M. Masherov VSU: Students from the Pedagogical Faculty Anna Stoyan, Klim Astramovich, Alexander Malashenko, Maxim Zavadsky, Anastasia Surovaya, Maria Tkachyova, Nadezhda Alenicheva with a video about the book "The Glory and Pride of the Vitebsk Land. Heroes of the Soviet Union".
- P.M. Masherov VSU: Students from the Faculty of Humanities, Knowledge and Communications Arina Tsyganenko and Alexander Demidovich with a video about V. Bykov's novella "Alpine Ballad".
- Brest State Technical University: Alexey Sych and Evgeny Kovalevich with a video about B. Vasiliev's novella "The Dawns Here Are Quiet…".
- Belarusian-Russian University: Ekaterina Angeleyko with a video about A. Adamovich's book "The Khatyn Story".
- Belarusian-Russian University: Polina Krotova with a video about the book "The Leningrad Front" by L. Lurie and L. Malyarov.
- Polessky State University: Anna Karpova, Sergey Salnikov, Timofey Starovoitov, Anna Tolikova with a video about S. Smirnov's book "The Brest Fortress".
- Polessky State University: Ivan Korolyuk with a video about B. Vasiliev's novella "The Dawns Here Are Quiet…".
- Pskov State University: Anastasia Aksenova, Anastasia Baizhanova, Maxim Dubrovin, Ekaterina Marinchuk, Lidiya Baeva, Daria Nikandrova, Anastasia Shipitskaya with a video dedicated to the poetry of O. Berggolts.
- Pskov State University: Varvara Kurchanova and Daniil Kolosov with a video about K. Paustovsky's short story "Snow".
All works are published on the Belarusian-Russian University library's YouTube channel.
