On May 5, the International Alley of the 80th Anniversary of the Great Victory was created in the Botanical Garden of P.M. Masherov VSU. The establishment of the alley was initiated by the university together with the Vitebsk Regional Branch of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus" ("White Rus'"), with the support of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The territory of the Botanical Garden is now adorned with over 20 saplings of trees from countries that contributed to the achievement of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The honored participants of the event were representatives of diplomatic missions.

From the very beginning, the university's Botanical Garden became a thematic time machine, immersing participants in the history of the Soviet people, who achieved Victory in the Great Patriotic War at a terrible cost. Throughout the event, guests could explore interactive exhibitions of drawings, presentations of weapons and uniforms, and performances by the "Bukleron" theater studio, reflecting the military glory of 1941-1945. A festive concert was organized with the help of the university's creative youth who bear the responsibility for peace on Belarusian soil. The celebratory mood was enhanced by the university's good friends – the musicians of the orchestra of the 103rd Separate Guards Air Assault Brigade.
