On October 1, the 80th anniversary meeting of the Joint Board of the Union State Committee on Hydrometeorology and Environmental Pollution Monitoring was held at the Petr Masherov Vitebsk State University. The meeting was attended by Sergei Maslyak, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus. Before the main meeting, the parties discussed key aspects of cooperation, identifying the most promising and relevant areas.

Specific objectives, as well as a plan for implementing joint projects, were the subject of a comprehensive discussion during the meeting, which was also attended by representatives of Vitebsk State University. The focus was on creating a testing ground for joint meteorological and aerological equipment, improving agrometeorological observations, and developing a system of climate services for the population and economic sectors.
