REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MOSCOW SOCIAL AND PEDAGOGICAL INSTITUTE VISITED VITEBSK STATE UNIVERSITY
Representatives from the Moscow Social and Pedagogical Institute visited Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov on May 26 to discuss prospects for interuniversity cooperation in science, education, culture, and youth policy.
The delegation included Aleksey Vladimirovich Korshunov, PhD in Sociology and Associate Professor, Vice-Rector for Research and Project Work, Education Quality Assurance, International and Interregional Cooperation; Aleksandr Andreevich Kruchenko, Acting Deputy Vice-Rector for Research and Project Work, Education Quality Assurance, International and Interregional Cooperation; and Anna Yuryevna Prokopenko, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Special Education and Social Psychology.
The university guests were warmly welcomed Faculty of Education, where they were given a tour of VSU's oldest academic building, shown an art gallery showcasing the faculty's history, a unique piano that plays music without a pianist, auditoriums for vocal and choreography classes, and viewed an exhibition of student and faculty achievements. Particular attention was paid to a presentation of educational equipment for the specialty «Special and Inclusive Education». Following this, a roundtable discussion, «Scientific and Pedagogical Cooperation: Current Status and Prospects», was held with the participation of VSU Vice-Rector for Research, Evgeny Arshansky, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor. Representatives of the Moscow Social and Pedagogical Institute spoke about their educational institution, its specialties, and its experience with international cooperation, noting that they are open to any proposals.
Also during the visit, the VSU guests were given guided tours of academic building No. 3 and the main building of the University, visits to the Museum of the Faculty of Art and Graphics, the Vitebsk Art Museum and the Marc Chagall Museum.
