On June 16, the 10th Meeting of SCO Education Ministers was held in Minsk, Belarus, chaired by Education Minister Andrei Ivanets. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the forum

«In the context of rapid digital transformation, education and science are the foundation of any country's development. And now, the primary tasks in this area are the introduction of modern technologies and the training of a new generation of specialists who respect the cultural characteristics and achievements of the SCO countries», – is emphasized in the greeting by the President of the Republic of Belarus

More than 30 representatives from SCO member states are participating in the meeting. Among them are education ministers and their deputies, university rectors, and staff from relevant agencies. Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Suhel Khan is also participating in the event.

A VSU delegation, led by the university's leadership, also joined the meeting. During the SCO University conference, with the participation of heads of delegations from SCO member states, a ceremonial signing of an Agreement on Cooperation in Science and Education between the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and the P.M. Masherov Vitebsk State University took place.
