About 60 works were presented at the joint student exhibition Faculty of Art and Graphics, Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov and Petrozavodsk State University, which opened on July 2nd at the Faculty of Art and Graphics. The compositions, executed in oil and watercolor, were painted en plein air in various locations around Vitebsk.

«This year, art students from Petrozavodsk State University participated in our students' plein air workshop, where they received valuable practical advice from faculty members and were impressed by the beauty of Vitebsk. The exhibition was wonderful; everyone did a fantastic job. I'm sure this display will be remembered both in photographs and in the memories of everyone present», – noted at the opening of the exhibition Dean of the Faculty of Art and Graphics Elena Sokolova.

In turn, the guests from Petrozavodsk admitted that they really enjoyed the city on the Dvina and that they were happy to communicate and exchange experiences with students and teachers of the Vitebsk Faculty of Art and Graphics.

«Vitebsk has given us a warm welcome. We were able to attend several festive events. We are in a wonderful mood. Plein air is a special experience for me, and the students were also captivated by the extraordinary atmosphere of working outdoors. It was doubly gratifying that we were able to learn about the history of your city and experience its culture. We express our sincere gratitude to Elena Olegovna Sokolova, Dean of the Faculty of Art and Graphics, for this wonderful opportunity to come to VSU and to the curator of the educational plein air, teacher of the Faculty of Art and Graphics Dmitry Nikolaevich Kuzmich, who accompanied us everywhere», concluded Yulia Korosova, senior lecturer at the Department of Technology, Fine Arts and Design at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology at PetrSU.

At the conclusion of the opening ceremony, Elena Olegovna presented Yulia Korosova and the PetrSU students with certificates for participating in the educational plein air and the final exhibition of creative works, as well as souvenirs of Vitebsk and Belarus.
