The Summer School on Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence opened its doors at Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology of Vitebsk State University оn July 6th, students from the Saint Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation took part.
Throughout the week, guests from St. Petersburg attended lectures and practical classes on computer vision, design patterns, virtual reality technologies, robotics, and other cutting-edge IT technologies. They also enjoyed excursions to Vitebsk, Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov and significant historical sites in the festival city.
The Summer School's conclusion ceremony on July 10th was attended by Elena Zalesskaya, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology, Sergey Ermochenko, Head of the Department of Applied and Systems Programming, faculty members and school participants from St. Petersburg.
Addressing the audience, Elena Nikolaevna noted that our two higher education institutions have every opportunity for long-term and constructive cooperation, and that this Summer School is one of the building blocks of this collaboration. The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology spoke openly with the students from Russia's northern capital, asking them about their opinions on the educational process at VSU, the subjects they found new and more. The Russian students shared their positive impressions of their stay in our city, university, and the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology, and thanked the leadership of both institutions for such a wonderful opportunity to exchange experiences and learn new and useful information.
Elena Zalesskaya presented certificates of successful completion of the Summer School and commemorative souvenirs to representatives of the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation.
