Touching songs and energetic dances, national cuisine tasting, and sincere congratulatory words – a festive event dedicated to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan, celebrated on September 27, took place at VSU.
Staff, faculty, and students of VSU gathered to congratulate Turkmen students studying at our university on their country’s main national holiday. The First Vice-Rector Andrey Mekhovich addressed the audience with a welcoming speech, noting that Independence Day is an important and significant holiday for any sovereign state, be it the Republic of Belarus or Turkmenistan. Andrey Pavlovich also emphasized that Masherovites appreciate the fact that Turkmen students study at our multinational university, and that we have the opportunity for intercultural interaction with them. The First Vice Rector wished the students and their families health, prosperity, and well-being.
Next, talented Turkmen girls performed a unique dance medley, «Turkmen Folklore», while Begench Agamereidov and Atageldy Joshanov performed vocal compositions. The festive event concluded with a tasting of national dishes.
