Katarzyna Khadas (the Chief of the Transatlantic mobility office in Adam Mickiewicz University, the coordinator of European Unity’s foreign programs) and Dymczyk Rafal (the associate professor of the Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities Research Department, the Head of Philippinistics Center) are the international partners of VSU within the framework of «EMINENCE» project as a part of Erasmus Mundus program. They visited VSU in order to discuss further directions for international cooperation.

During the meeting with university administration the guests discussed the possibility of academic mobility among the students and teachers, the organization of international conferences for professors and scholarly publications exchange. The guests visited the Faculty of Art and Graphics’ museum and Rare Books Chamber at the scientific library of VSU.

A lecture on the topic “Interdisciplinary research. Studying in Poland” delieved by the associate professor Dymczyk Rafal was organized for students and master candidates:

“We’re developing partnerships almost with all the neighboring countries. We are the neighbors and our collaboration should be even stronger. VSU has already become our partner within the framework of “Erasmus Mundus” program. Now we want to broaden the partnership areas and strengthen the new cooperation model. At our university the students of the Faculty of Philolgy have an opportunity to study business and tourism. Such a form of “interdisciplinary learning” remains very popular. We’d like to find partners, motivated by the same ideas”.

Katarzyna Khadas was the coordinator of the "EMINENCE" and "EMENENCE 2" projects ("Integration of border Eastern regions through cooperation in the realm of higher education"). Our university acted as a partner, and Adam Mickiewicz University as a beneficiary in these projects.

"We have completed our joint project within the framework of "Erasmus Mundus" program, and this meeting can be called a "post-project" one. Now we are thinking about launching our work on the "Erasmus +" program. The atmosphere in your University is amazing and close to our culture, so we are glad to invite your students to us".

Within the framework of the "EMINENCE" project both students and teachers of our University got the opportunity to study and to conduct research throughout six months or a year at the European universities known as members of the consortium.

The head of the International Affairs Division Elena Sorotokina notes that such projects create favorable conditions for further growth and prospects:

"The experience of European studies at universities in Sweden, Romania, Portugal and, of course, Poland has been received by Belarusian students and employees not only from VSU, but also from MSU named after A. Kuleshov, Polesie and Baranovichi universities. A significant result of this cooperation is the establishment of partnership with our colleagues. Today's meeting is a new stage, a new possible cooperation. We hope that the results of our interaction will lead to new partnership relations and projects».
