From 22 to October 25, Vitebsk State University welcomed the delegation of students and teaches from Novgorod State University in order to discuss further development of cooperation between the two partner universities and to perform academic mobility of students and teachers.

The practice of academic exchange between the two universities has been conducted for over 3 years. It’s aimed at the development of the objectives in modern system of higher education.

The contacts with this educational establishment began in 2009 providing  cooperation of mutual interest for the two universities. VSU has conducted two projects on educational management and "the pedagogy of diversity".

Veslav Iosifovich Turkovsky The Sub-rector responsible for Academic Affairs of VSU noted that masters who had managed to intern at NovSU, returned home more courageous scientifically. All this can contribute to their professional growth.

This year the program for the delegation from NovSU is very intensive including visiting sports events, coworking meetings, discussions, lectures, trainings and master classes.

Novgorod guests got acquainted with the system of higher education in the Republic of Belarus, visited training sessions on the profile.

The Head of the Department of International Cooperation form NovSU Tatyana Gennadievna Shirina notes that the cooperation of universities is of great importance and mutual interest:

- The exchange in the format of discussion is very successful. The meetings are aimed at finding common fields and compromises in similar specialties and areas of knowledge. Today we are thinking about the development of cooperative educational programs and trainership.

Such exchange is primarily aimed at the development of students - future specialists. We hope to share with you our experience and, of course, to get new knowledge to return home inspired with new opportunities and solutions that we found, because one day outside the house gives more than a year at home.
