On May 18, the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology, the Department of International Relations and the Faculty of Education of Foreign Citizens held a joint event "Welcome day – 2022" for Chinese citizens in the format of an online conference.

The "Welcome day – 2022" was attended by the Hohhot Vocational Institute, Guizhou Pedagogical University and other educational institutions, as well as more than 20 partner organizations. The online conference was attended by over 50 potential applicants.

Dmitriy Antonovich, the First Vice-rector of VSU named after P.M. Masherov, addressed the partners, applicants and guests of the event with a welcoming speech.

During the event, the educational and scientific potentials of the university were comprehensively displayed, as well as the report "The Life of Chinese students at VSU" was demonstrated.

In order to familiarize potential applicants and educational institutions of the People's Republic of China with the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology of VSU named after P.M. Masherov, the dean of the Faculty, Elena Zalesskaya made a speech.

The second part of the event was filled with master classes, presentations and speeches by teachers of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology.

Sergey Ermochenko, Head of the Department of Applied and System Programming, presented a project on the topic "Modeling of the reconstructed middle ear" and demonstrated the features and advantages of modern 3D modeling. The project on the topic "Recognition of microbiological objects" was presented by Associate Professor of the Department of Applied and System Programming Elena Korchevskaya. Associate Professor of the Department of Information Technology and Business Management Sergey Prohozhiy demonstrated the latest models of robots that work at the faculty. Sergey Pudovkin conducted a master class on virtual reality.

The event was held in English. The moderators of the open day were employees of the International Relations Department.
