June 21, as part of the Youth Week at VSU named after P.M. Masherov, the Day of Science was held under the general theme "Scientific foundations of a healthy lifestyle." The start of the events was given by the training “Pedagogical model for the formation of students' health saving”.

Currently, much attention is paid to the issues of a healthy environment, as a component of a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, a meeting with Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Geography, PhD in Biological Sciences Inna Alexandrovna Litvenkova, which discussed issues on the topic “Ecology of the city as a factor in preserving the health of young people”, was of considerable interest to graduate students and young scientists of the university.

Dean of the Faculty of chemical, biological and geographical Sciences, PhD in Biological Sciences Tatyana Alexandrovna Tolkacheva gave a lecture in a fascinating way on the topic “Biochemistry of a healthy lifestyle”. The participants were especially interested in the biochemical aspects of healthy eating and physical activity.

The final event of the Day of Science was a seminar on the topic "Mathematical Modeling in Healthcare". The seminar was held by the Head of the Department of Applied and System Programming, PhD in Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Sergey Aleksandrovich Ermochenko, a specialist in the field of biomechanics.
