"Professional Growth of the Individual in a Multicultural Environment: Regional Aspect" – is the title of an international roundtable which is currently taking place at the Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology at Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov. The scientific forum has brought together scholars in the field of psychology from Belarus, Russia, and China, participating in face to face, extramural, and through remote formats.

The roundtable is dedicated to the aspects of professional growth of the individual in a multicultural environment, addressing the current relevance of issues related to professional development and the formation of strong individuals capable of transforming social reality and solving significant problems in a rapidly changing world. It aims to foster competitiveness and a commitment to self-improvement.

At the opening of the roundtable, the first vice-rector of Vitebsk State University Andrey Mekhovich, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor; Dean of the Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology Sergey Motorov, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor and head of the Department of Psychology Sergey Bogomaz, Candidate of Psychological Sciences addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. The speakers noted that psychology has become relevant in all spheres of life, making it very important to hold such meetings where specialists who provide psychological assistance to various groups of the population can share their experiences, exchange ideas, and discuss problematic issues.

As part of the opening ceremony of the roundtable, acknowledgments were presented for many years of collaboration to representatives of various institutions and organizations. Among them are the centers for correctional and developmental learning and rehabilitation, Vitebsk nursing home for the elderly and disabled, secondary schools No. 45 and No. 11 of Vitebsk, where branches of the psychology department operate, and others.

Mikhail Dyadichkin, the head of the traffic police department at the Department of Internal Affairs of the Executive Committee, expressed words of gratitude towards the Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology. He mentioned that graduates of the faculty, including some currently employed at the traffic police department, are utilizing their knowledge of psychology in their professional activities. Following the opening ceremony, there were plenary presentations, and in the afternoon, discussions took place focusing on the categories of professional activities and professional growth in psychology, the content and indicators of personal professional growth, and the multicultural environment and psychological resources for interaction between subjects in the educational environment.

The international roundtable concluded with a summary of the results. As a keepsake, all participants were given certificates, as well as a compilation of materials from the scientific forum, which was published on the eve of the event.
