Within the framework of the official visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Education of Belarus to Uzbekistan on February 6, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivants met with the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongranbai Sharipov. The delegation also included Rector of Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov, Doctor of Economics, Professor Valentina Bogatyreva.

At the meeting, issues related to the establishment of the Belarusian-Uzbek Scientific and Technological Consortium under the auspices of two ministries, the design and implementation of joint educational programs taking into account the needs of the economies of both countries were discussed. The main focus is on quality education. New forms of implementation of bilateral agreements were proposed. Various forms of education for Uzbek citizens, including distance learning, were discussed in consideration of the need to study the Russian language.

There was also a meeting between the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Minister of Preschool and School Education Khalila Uktamovna Umarova. During a constructive conversation, issues related to the establishment of a branch of the Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov were discussed, and an analysis of the progress of the issue, which is in an advanced stage of readiness, was conducted.

In the spotlight are questions regarding the creation of pedagogical classes and the exchange of experience in inclusive education and work in family–type homes. Special attention is paid to patriotic education, participation in civic-patriotic actions, including the significant project "Train of Memory", and the participation of Uzbek students in student brigades in the Republic of Belarus.

On February 7th, in Tashkent, the rector of Vitebsk State University named afterb P.M. Masherov, Valentina Bogatyreva, will take part in the opening of the II Forum of the regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
