Step 1. DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED
Please, pay attention that the process of issuing the invitation is quite time-consuming and takes about 1 month. For that reason we request you to apply for an invitation in advance.
For sending an invitation the following documents are necessary:
All the documents issued in foreign language require a notarized translation into the Russian language.
Documents are sent by e-mail, fax, post or delivered to the Department of International Relations annually by the 15 of October.
Step 2. ARRIVAL
After analyzing the applicant’s documents the University authorities make the decision on eligibility for matriculation. VSU sends an invitation to the applicant that is the ground for getting the Entrance Visa in the Consulate in the place of residence (for overseas citizens from countries with visa regime of entry into the Republic of Belarus). The Study Visa is issued on the paid basis.
To exclude the misunderstandings with customs and frontier guard officers you should notify your arrival and inform the Department of International Relations of the university beforehand.
Step 3 ARRIVAL IN VITEBSK
The convenient way to come to Belarus is by plane or by train.
The National airport ‘Minsk’ is 30 kilometers away from Minsk, the capital of the Republic of Belarus. You can reach city center from the airport by taxi or shuttle bus. From the bus station ‘Moskovskiy’ or the railway station, to buy a ticket to Vitebsk. In Vitebsk by bus №22, 34 or a shuttle bus № 99 you can get to the bus station ‘Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov’ (Moskovskiy avenue, 33, room 100, 201A, 201B)
Step 4. ENROLMENT
On arrival the Study Contract between the applicant and the university is signed. The precondition for enrolment to the university is the payment of the tuition fee and other fees.

After submitting all the documents applicants are to be interviewed in the Russian (English) language.
All overseas students are provided with accommodation in the hostel.
Step 5. MEDICAL CHECK-UP
Before the beginning of the academic year the applicant must take a supplementary medical check-up at Vitebsk State Medical University clinic. The check-up is attended on the paid basis. The student pays for the medical check-up. Besides the medical check-up it is necessary to buy an obligatory medical insurance policy in one of the Insurance Companies.

After arriving at Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov, an interview in the Russian language will be conducted and a contract for training will be signed.

The tuition fee for full-time education for international students is 2400 US dollars, with the exception of the specialties "Law" and "International law". Specialty "Law" and "International law" - 2600 US dollars.

The University provides all foreign students with places in comfortable hostels. The cost of living in a hostel is about 30-35 US dollars per month.
Registration

Life of foreign students at VSU
On May 21-22, the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Law in the Digital Age» is being held at VSU's Faculty of Law. Experts from Belarus and Russia discuss contemporary legal issues in the context of the transition to a digital civilization.
The final, but no less action-packed, day of the International Student Forum is underway at VSU. A joint exhibition of students' creative works opened in the Faculty of Fine Arts' exhibition hall.
From May 19 to 21, VSU is hosting the International Student Forum «We Are United by Culture», organized by Vitebsk State University and the Russian University of Traditional Arts and Crafts.
VSU named after P.M. Masherov organized an Open Day remotely, targeting students from Hohhot Polytechnic University, with whom VSU has collaborated for over 18 years.
On May 6, Alexey Shmatko, Director of the Institute of Regional Economic Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economics, and Professor, spoke online to students of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov in our university's conference hall.
On April 30, the VSU team set out on a journey, continuing the glorious and long-loved tradition of the annual «Roads of War – Roads of Victory» rally, together with a good friend of the university and the project's organizer, Eduard Tereshko.
Navruz, the celebration of the arrival of spring according to the astronomical solar calendar, is a national holiday in Turkmenistan. It symbolizes the awakening of new life and the return of warmth after a long cold spell.
VSU welcomed a delegation from St. Petersburg State University and the Centralized Library System. As part of the working program, a roundtable discussion was held on the exchange of best practices in teaching, research, and educational activities.
On February 24, the VSU Rector held talks with the leadership of the Russian University of Traditional Arts and Crafts. The goal was to discuss the prospects of organizing a joint International Student Forum.
