On December 6, Minsk hosted the awarding ceremony of the international business award "Leader of the Year - 2024". Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov received high recognition for its outstanding achievements. The university was awarded the Grand Prix in the "Education" category of the "Leader of the Year - 2024" International Business Award for its excellence in professional training, application of modern educational technologies, development of practice-oriented learning, expansion of international cooperation, and scientific research. This marks the second time the university has received this prestigious honor in the award's history (the previous award was presented to VSU in 2021).

The celebratory atmosphere was created by the Honored Collective of the Republic of Belarus "Exemplary Band of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus".

The business award aims to promote successful business development models, enhance competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets, strengthen international economic relations, and encourage outstanding enterprises. The "Leader of the Year - 2024" award is supported by the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus, and other institutions.
