A university delegation consisting of First Vice-Rector Andrei Pavlovich Mekhovich and Dean of the Faculty for International Student Education Valery Vatslavovich Yancha is on an official visit to Turkmenistan. The purpose of the visit is to develop international cooperation with educational institutions of Turkmenistan in the fields of science, culture, education, and personnel training.
On May 22, a meeting was held with H.E. Mr. Stanislav Vladimirovich Chepurny, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan, and Advisor Yuri Anatolyevich Dmitrichev. The negotiations discussed promising areas of Turkmen-Belarusian cooperation. On the same day, a meeting took place at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During the conversation with the institute's Rector, Gulshat Geldiyevna Yusupova, issues related to implementing integrated educational programs, student mobility, and participation in international scientific conferences were discussed. This was followed by an open dialogue with the institute's students and faculty. First Vice-Rector A.P. Mekhovich spoke about the education system of the Republic of Belarus and presented the university's scientific and educational potential. Students and faculty actively participated in the discussion, asking questions about opportunities for studying in Belarus and sharing their views.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation familiarized itself with the institute's infrastructure. Subsequently, together with Embassy Advisor Yu.A. Dmitrichev, the delegation laid flowers at the monument to the classic of Belarusian literature, Yanka Kupala, in the "Makhtumkuli Fragi" cultural and park complex.
