From November 19 to 21, the International Stage of the youth project “100 Ideas for the CIS” was held in Astana (Republic of Kazakhstan) as part of a meeting of the Council on Youth Affairs of the CIS Member States.

The national expert council selected nine winning projects from the finalists of the national youth project "100 Ideas for Belarus" for 2023 and 2024, which represented the Republic of Belarus at the international project "100 Ideas for the CIS." One of the winners was VSU named after P.M. Masherov with the project "Mysterious Worlds of Nikiforovsky," authored by Valeria Medvedeva, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of State Law and Culture. This project is a unique tabletop role-playing game whose main idea is to immerse young people in the historical past of our region through engaging immersion, vivid emotions, and collaborative creativity. The project aims to promote civic and patriotic education and popularize the history and culture of our country.

Sharing her impressions of participating in the project, Valeria Medvedeva noted: "I proudly spoke about the cultural and historical heritage of the Vitebsk region and our university. It was wonderful to hear words of support and encouragement from the participants and jury members. The most valuable part was the dozens of new acquaintances and strong friendships we formed. We, young researchers from across the CIS, spoke the same language—the language of ideas and enthusiasm. The shared photographs and plans for future collaboration were simply priceless to me. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my university, VSU named after P.M. Masherov, for its support and faith in my endeavors."
