On November 29, an international academic seminar on special education, «Diversity and Innovation: High-Quality Development of Inclusive Education», was held in the conference hall of Suihuan University (China). Representatives from 10 universities in the People's Republic of China, two universities in the Russian Federation, and Masherov Vitebsk State University, as well as the heads and faculty of 40 special schools in China, participated in the seminar.
A report on the topic «The system of special education of the Republic of Belarus: status and prospects» was delivered to those present. Head of the Department of Inclusive Education at P.M. Masherov VSU, N.I. Bumazhenko In her report, Natalia Ivanovna paid special attention to the specifics of professional training for modern special educators at our university.
Experts, scientists, and practitioners participating in the seminar shared cutting-edge research findings and valuable practical experience, including updating the concept of inclusive education from a multicultural perspective, implementing technological innovations in inclusive education practices, and creating a mechanism for interaction between special and general education.
Participants in the scientific meeting expressed a desire to jointly implement educational programs to train teachers for special education, develop innovative technologies for inclusive education, exchange educational resources, and implement multi-level and large-scale in-depth cooperation in the field of special and inclusive education.
