Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov hosted a major international event: the university is hosting a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan, including the rectors of leading higher education institutions in the Andijan region.

VSU already has collaborations with a number of universities in Uzbekistan (over 25 cooperation agreements). The main goal of this meeting is to go beyond the existing agreements and expand the partnership to encompass all the most promising areas: from academic mobility for students and faculty to joint research, large-scale projects, and educational programs.

The delegation's program was comprehensive and allowed the guests to fully appreciate the university's potential. The rectors met with the VSU staff and praised the modern facilities and infrastructure of Vitebsk State University. The international colleagues were particularly interested in the applied developments and successfully implemented projects of VSU scientists.

The key event of the visit will be a large-scale forum on July 14. The event will bring together rectors of higher education institutions from the Andijan region (Uzbekistan) and the Vitebsk region (Belarus). This forum will provide a venue for open dialogue, the exchange of best practices, and the development of new avenues for cooperation, culminating in the signing of cooperation agreements.
