On June 8, Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko presented an award to Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov as the winner of the competition for the Government Award for achievements in the field of quality in 2020. The decision to award the prize was approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 215 dated April 9, 2021.

The Government Quality Award is an annual award that is awarded to the best organizations in the country for significant results in the field of quality and competitiveness of products and services, for the introduction of innovative technologies and achievements in the field of management.

The award ceremony was attended by the Rector of the University Valentina Bogatyreva and Vice-Rector Denis Shkiryanov.

In her speech, Valentina Vasilyevna thanked the organizers of the competition for the high assessment of the university's activities and noted that the entire multi-thousand staff of the university will continue to work effectively to train highly qualified specialists, true patriots of their country. After all, today VSU named after P.M. Masherov is a university of a new format in the modern paradigm of unity of educational, research and project activities, which trains professionals for the rapidly developing world of technology and business in a competitive environment.

This year, 13 organizations became laureates of the competition, 22 confirmed the title of the laureate received earlier. Two more organizations became diploma holders. One organization was awarded a special award "Social Responsibility".

Roman Golovchenko congratulated all the winners of the competition and wished them further successful work for the benefit of the country, high achievements in the development of their industries, increasing efficiency, ensuring the quality of products and services.
